Dr. Kris Bhat, M.D

Get to know our qualified sleep doctor, Dr. Kris Bhat. Dr. Kris Bhat received post-graduate training in Internal medicine followed by a pathology residency at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. He did his residency in pediatrics at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis and Tulane University in New Orleans.

Training and Practice Areas

Dr. Bhat underwent allergy and immunology and did a pulmonology fellowship at Louisiana State University, followed by a fellowship in pediatrics. He continued with pulmonology at Indiana State University with the American Lung Association. Dr. Bhat is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and the conjoint board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He also is a diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

He is a fellow of the American College of Allergists, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Thoracic Society. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS). He has been the medical director of the Sleep Diagnostic Center in Beaumont since 1996.

Dr. Bhat has undertaken sleep studies at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont since 1982. Sleep Diagnostic Center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in Beaumont and Humble, TX. Dr. Bhat has extensive clinical and laboratory experience in sleep medicine.
